If they have auto insurance, ensure that you get the contact numbers of their insurance company too.
If any police officers arrive on the scene, obtain their names and badge numbers too. If your insurance company has not sent out a representative, try and find a way to make a sketch of the accident detailing how it occurred, right up to where the vehicles were located once it was all over.
